What kind of visa do you need to live in brazil for a year?
I am looking to move to Brazil for a year but I am not a student and I am not going on business. I just want to live and learn about the culture. What kind of visa can I obtain to do this?

What is the best place to live in Brazil

What is the best place to live in Brazil?
I would love to move to Brazil but have no knowledge on the country. Please provide suggestions on the best city to live. I want to for sure live by the beach so please recommend a good beach city in Brazil. Your advice is appreciated.

I loved Fortaleza. Good beaches and a really nice town. I hope you find your dream destination :-)

Buzios. It is north of Rio de Janeiro I believe and it is a smallish beach community with gorgeous beaches and great people.

To put it simply, Canada is so diverse and multicultural.

Canada! It's really gorgeous in most parts. I haven't been to Brazil, but I really doubt that I'd like it better than Canada.

Why does almost everyone in Brazil live in high rise apartment blocks

Why does almost everyone in Brazil live in high rise apartment blocks?
Brazil is huge with lots of cheap open land so why do they choose to live in these tightly packed lego block buildings that make their cities an eye sore. Commie blocks I think is what they're called, worse than suburban sprawl.

Government lack of planning, and property invaders, its happensed here in these United States back in the 40tys , and the 1800 also.......................

Most of the high rises are in the urban areas, where most of the jobs are. Many Brazilians are poor and can't afford to live in nicer accommodations. If you leave the cities, you will find people don't live in high-rise apartment buildings.
