How to get a visa to Brazil, if you live in Chicago

How to get a visa to Brazil, if you live in Chicago?
I am going to Brazil with a few friends and need to get them their visas. The cosulate will not answer their phones and I've emailed them twice...no replies. Can I go and take their paperwork/fees or do they need to be there? How long will it take? What do I need to bring with?

They will not answer calls as they get lots. In TX you send it off to Houston, now if you live in Houston they require you to go to that location. The same may be said for the chicago location. I ck for a website but couldn't fine one. Anyway I had to mail mine in and took a couple of weeks. You want to give yourself two months leeway in completing Visas in case of problems that could arise. Now when you to Brazil get ready for a very long flight.

you can do it by courier thru an agency here is the website of one and they have the application and all requirements the cost is $110 per visa + $45 fee for the agency + 12.50 for fedex it takes from 3-5 days to get it and they are very professional. http://www.traveldocs.com/br

Hello I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil, I wonder how many days lasted atacke of the Normandy D Day?

It only lasted one day
2 :
D-Day lasted one day. The invasion lasted over a month and a half. From Wikipedia: The Invasion of Normandy was the invasion and establishment of Allied forces in Normandy, France, during Operation Overlord in World War II. This article covers from the initial landings on June 6, 1944, until the time of the Allied breakout in late-July.
3 :
D Day was only one day they stormed the beach of Normandy on June 6th, 1944. hope this helps =]
4 :
D-Day was 1 day (June 6, 1944), but the battle lasted until Operation Cobra on July 25 to 31, 1944 when the allied forces were able to break-out of the Normandy beachhead.
5 :
The actual ground/water attack commenced at 0415 June 6th 1944. The attack on the beach ended that night I hope this is what you meant. I would suggest you read the book titled " The Sixth of June" By Cornelius Ryan. It will give you the military and the human side of the story for Omaha, Utah, Gold, Juno and sword beaches. It is both an interesting and a very good read. I hope this helps.
6 :
The overall invasion or (Operation Overlord) was broken down into different operations starting with Operation Neptune (the landing on June 6th 1944). Operation Cobra or (The Breakout from Normandy) started July 25th 1944
7 :
The op actually began with Navy teams scouting the beaches on 5 June. The initial airborne commenced about 0400 Local time on 6 June. The invasion took the entire day. Keep in mind that "D-Day" was a military term for ANY operation, invasion or otherwise. The fight until the breakout lasted from 6 June until Operation "Cobra" in July. As a historian I would recommend you stay away from anything written by Cornelius Ryan. His research is poor, and has several quotes from people who were found later to not have been/done what they said. Many of his assertions have been overturned by research in the past 20 years or so. A far better book is "Overlord" by Blumenson. Well written, and has actual primary sources to back it up.

I did travel around Brazil. Getting a job will be ok but choose your neighbourhoods carefully. http://www.yukiba.com/Brazil-travel.html
