I have a small 20 gallon filtered pond in california and i just bought a brazil sword plant. Can it live in a non heated pond? for clarification to the dumb Henrique guy below, I bought this plant at a store! would you like the name of the store so you can send the enviromental knotsies out to arrest them?

Either species commonly referred to as Brazilian Swords (Amazon Swords and Peace Lilies) should be fine (Swords are VERY tolerant of cold temperatures), but remember that Peace Lilies are bog plants that should not be kept fully submersed-- they will rot. Amazon Swords (Ecinodorus amazonicus or bleheri), on the other hand would be fine fully under water. EDIT: Henrique, consider yourself ignorant. These plants aren't removed from the Amazon, they are propogated and grown in massive ponds or tanks in Asia or Florida. If you're gonna talk, please know what you're talking about.

Picking native species from the Amazon forest and taking it away to other countries without authorization is a CRIME. Consider yourself arrested.
