my dad is going to Brazil, South America. he might ask me if i want to go, and so i was just thinking of all the cool things i would see there - i have never been to Brazil, South America before, and i was actually thinking of animals that i will see in Brazil. my favorite animal is a Chimpanzee, or a monkey. that is why i asked the question " Do chimpanzees live in Brazil, South America?"

chimpanzees are indigenous to Africa. Not South America. There might be some at a zoo, though. And there are some other monkeys that are native to the area.

The only place you'll see chimps in South America or any of the americas is in a zoo or a refuge. They are not native to this hemisphere. There are plenty of smaller monkeys in latin america though. You won't see any wild ones if you're stuck in one of the cities though - they're in the jungle.

Here in Brazil doesn't have chipanzé but we have in Rio de Janeiro a small monkey, Sagüi that is that small very nice monkey that plays with anybody. Unless you're going into the rain forest you're not gonna see a whole lotta exotic animals...my friend is from Sao Paulo and has never been in the rain forest or anywhere near it...whenever i ask her about seeing cool animals she stares at me funny and is like totally weirded out by my question
